Cryonix I occupies the eighth orbit, the first world past the Scatter. It was volcanic once. The ridges are still there, worn down to nothing, and the old shield cones are still there under the ice, collapsed and filled in. Whatever heat drove all that ran out a long time ago.
Ordin kept its fire and built a fleet on it. Cryonix I did not, and this is what a world looks like afterward.
There is no atmosphere. Nothing has weathered here since the ice went down, so the surface is a record of everything that ever happened and nothing that happened since. No settlement, no extraction, no survey worth funding twice. The Authority charted it, filed it, and has not had cause to revise the entry.
