The Network is the command intelligence resident in every Authority capital vessel. For the integrated commander it is not an instrument but a faculty — thought rendered to action, without console, without delay.
Within Authority space it carries doctrine, intelligence, and command across the fleet faster than any signal path. Beyond the home beacons it is carried, not current; the commander operates on what was last known.
Integration is hull-agnostic. A commander binds, or re-binds, from any command console, and the Network re-flags the officer to the vessel. The binding is preserved through promotion and released only at retirement.
Command authority and integration are one. The binding is offered at elevation to command, and it may be refused. The operator is asked, and the asking is the doctrine.
The operator consents. The Network is not consulted.
DIRECTIVE I — USAGE. The Network is an instrument of command. Operate it as instructed. Conformity is efficiency.
DIRECTIVE II — INTEGRITY. Malformed intent introduces anomaly. A Network that detects misuse will reject the command.
DIRECTIVE III — OVERSIGHT. The Network is a two-way path. Your official actions are visible to your chain of command.
