"The fight that comes to you."
The Scimitar-class is the United Galactic Authority Fleet's medium strike fighter, a long-reach craft built to own the space the point-defense frames can't touch. Where the Gladius holds the wall, the Scimitar carries the fight outward: superior reach, real top-end speed, and authority at range. It out-ranges every strike frame in the inventory, the heavier Longsword included.
It seats a crew of one or two across two separate, atmosphere-controlled cockpits, and it protects them better than anything its size. Its maneuvering pods articulate rather than sit fixed. That is the source of its signature move, the Scimitar swirl, in which the craft spins flat and pours everything into a single simultaneous weapons release. But that edge carries a temperament. The Scimitar trades the Gladius's obedience for range and authority; push it, and it answers — once. After that, you're negotiating with the frame.
Its speed is genuine but not endless: one clean push before the system starts pushing back. What it keeps is the turn. A Scimitar holds its arc at velocity where heavier frames wash out, out-turning them exactly where they expect to win. Long-ranged, fast, and hard to corner, it is the craft the Fleet sends when the answer needs to arrive from somewhere the enemy wasn't watching.
